How I work
Practical and Experiential
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The latter procedure, however, is disagreeable and therefore not popular.” -Carl Jung We have all developed patterns of thought, emotion and behavior throughout our lives. For good reason, to keep us alive. And, if your reading this, they've done a great job. The question becomes, whether or not these patterns are still useful and helpful in the present day. To evolve, we can look behind the curtain. All the things we have been avoiding and all the things we have been distracting ourselves from, what we don't think we can look at. It's not always easy, but it's definitely worth it. I use Socratic questioning (deliberate, careful questions), somatic mindfulness practices, and awareness of relationship dynamics to uncover what you may already know, but find difficult to embody and live out.
